In Year 2 this week, the children have started a new Design and Technology project where we will be designing and then creating our own vehicles. The first step was to explore what wheels and axles are and how many various vehicles need to have. The children experimented with 3 different ways to attach their wheels and axles to a vehicle; cardboard triangles, straws and clothes pegs. They had lots of fun working cooperatively to create their vehicles and we then discussed the pros and cons of each method ahead of creating our own designs next week!
