Mathematics In Year 2

Year Two have been looking at 2D shapes and thinking about their properties (eg. how many sides/corners they have). Children made pictures, patterns and sequences with their shapes.

When they had finished, they were able to talk, using mathematical language, about what they had done and described the position of different shapes and if they had turned any of them clockwise or anti-clockwise to fit their picture/pattern/sequence.
