International Women’s Day!
In school, we spent the week thinking about International Women’s Day, which was on Wednesday 8th March. In our special assembly we thought about, and celebrated, women’s achievements and discovered why it is important to raise awareness about discrimination and to take action to drive equality.
In our assembly some of the children talked about women who are an inspiration to them. Here are just three of the women that they talked about and why…
Each week we will ask members of staff to nominate their inspirational women, so keep a look out for the women they choose.
Who would you pick as an inspirational woman for you? A special auntie, mum, scientist, doctor, engineer, writer, artist or a friend? Have a think and let us know in school.
