Years one and two had a visit RMS Brass Ensemble this week. The children were introduced to a selection of instruments from the brass family and listened to pieces of music from different styles and genres. They were fascinated and inspired by the stories of the professional musicians and the interesting places they had played in and people they had played for.
Through our new music scheme, Charanga, the children are familiar with listening carefully to and appraising pieces of music. This skill was ably demonstrated at the recital when the children were able to confidently answer the questions posed by the musicians. The children and staff enjoyed the performance immensely.
